Until about June 1 of 2008, this lowly hot water tank was functioning in a home in Kingston.

This Hotpoint (General Electric) water tank had been providing hot water to the home since sometime in the mid-to-late 1930s.

The newest patent listed on the faceplate was issued Dec. 27, 1932.

Does anyone have an appliance in the home that has continued to function for a longer time?
