Two members of this photo from the past printed in the July 2008 Community News responded to my request for help in identifying the children.

Louise Soderberg Lien and Marion Parcells Vanderhalf, two of the majorettes, provided the identification.

The picture was taken in 1945 of the sixth-grade class of Kingston Grade School and teacher Mrs. Mullen.

In the back row are: Warren West, Louie Maddex, Jerry Kilmer, Dale Olsen, “Popeye” George Lyne and Mrs. Mullen.

Middle Row: Gladys Reisberg, Lila Stevens, Louise Soderberg, Nancy Hiller, Beverly Sipe, Janet Minert, Marion Parcells, Lois George, Peggy Forshee.

Front Row: Kenny Howerton, Jimmy Feeley, Ivan George, Richard Bray.

The Kingston Historical Society meets at 10 a.m. on the fourth Wednesday of the month, January through October in the Kingston Community Center. All are welcome. We hope to see you at Heritage Day Sept. 27!
