County art board opening for North Kitsap representative

If you are a local artist or knowledgeable in the arts, the Kitsap County Commissioners would like to encourage you to apply for the District 1 opening on the Art Board. The Art Board promotes and encourages private and public programs that further public awareness and develop an interest in the arts and cultural properties. The ordinance, which established the “1% for Art Program,” tasked the Art Advisory Board with establishing a system of coordination with the County Capital Improvement Program to ensure art is integrated into public facilities; developing criteria; and making recommendations to commissioners. An application and description may be obtained from the office of Volunteer Services, 619 Division Street, Port Orchard.
