Scholarships available from Hansville gardeners

The Flotsam and Jetsam Garden Club of Hansville will offer at least one $1,000 scholarship for the school year 2009-10. We were able to offer full or partial scholarships to two outstanding individuals last year. Please encourage any deserving high school senior, current college student or continuing education student to apply for this year’s grants.

ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS:

1. Be a current high school senior, high school graduate, continuing or returning student.

2. Meet admission requirements and show an acceptance letter for a selected college or institution.

3. Enroll in a major field of study related to the environment as stated above.

4. Enroll as a full-time student leading to a degree, certificate, or professional credential in one of the fields listed above.

5. Be a permanent resident of North Kitsap County in one of the following communities: Poulsbo, Kingston, Hansville, Eglon, Port Gamble, Keyport, or Indianola.

6. Return the Application, Proposed Budget, copy of current grade transcript and three references (faculty, job supervisor, or personal), no later than April 1 to
