Two women injured in rear-ender

KINGSTON — Two women were sent to Harrison Medical Center after a rear-end collision at State Route 104 and Lindvog Road, entering Kingston, about 2 p.m., according to North Kitsap Fire & Rescue spokeswoman Michele Laboda.

A 24-year-old woman from Leavenworth, Kan., rear-ended a 54-year-old Kingston woman. Washington State Patrol spokesman Russ Winger said the 24y-year-old woman will most likely be ticketed for a driving infraction. There is no suspicion of drugs or alcohol.

Both women were sent by aid car to Harrison Medical Center; the 24-year-old had a broken ankle and possible broken leg, and the 54-year-old woman was checked out for possible back injuries. Both women were wearing seat belts.

Crews cleared the scene about 2:45 p.m. Washington State Patrol is investigating the incident.
