Set your course for Kingston

The Port of Kingston unveiled its new logo, pictured here. Designed by S&J Graphics, the colorful logo is an abstraction of a photograph by Port of Kingston Commissioner Tom Coultas, according to Port Manager Mike Bookey. The logo shows the view from Kingston looking south with the Seattle skyline accentuated in front of Mount Rainier. Note that the boat is sailing away from Seattle to Kingston. The logo will be featured in ads the port places in boating and tourist publications, and will also be printed on shirts, coffee mugs and other items that the port sells. In other efforts to re-brand the port, Bookey said its Web site at will be redesigned to reflect the many activities going on for both residents and visitors.
