Another public meeting on the Heritage Park is scheduled for 7-9 p.m. May 1 in the Kingston Community Center. Kitsap County Facilities, Parks and Recreation staff will present a revised Heritage Park Master Plan based on input from the March 16 public meeting.

A more detailed alignment and cross-section of the proposed connector road that will run through the park from Miller Bay Road to South Kingston Road, as well as cost estimates for individual elements of the plan and a revised phasing plan will be reviewed, according to Joseph Coppo, planner for parks department.

To view detailed preliminary plans and maps for the North Kitsap Heritage Park Master Plan, including photos of the site as it currently looks and topographical findings, go to www.kitsapgov/parks/.

To submit suggestions about recreational and passive use in the park as well as opinions of the path of the through road, contact Coppo at Kitsap County Facilities, Parks and Recreation, (360) 307-4222 or e-mail to jcoppo@co.kitsap.wa.us.
