A Glance at the Past

The “Glance at the Past” pictured above is from 1908. William, John and Arthur Long are standing in front of a gigantic Douglas fir. The fenced area behind the tree surrounds the clearing where a house was constructed beginning in 1909.

The updated 1909 home is still occupied and can be seen on the south side of Highway 104 a little west of Wolfle Elementary School.

The Kingston Historical Society needs YOUR help. We want more of the old pictures of early Kingston and environs. now is the time to collect more of Kingston history. We can use any format and promise to return your negatives or prints intact.
