Walt Elliott and Jerry Kirschner are running against each other for Kingston Port Commission. But they have a lot more in common than not.
County Commission candidate Rob Gelder is endorsed by the Home Builders Association of Kitsap County’s Affordable Housing Council. Candidate Chris Tibbs is endorsed by the Kitsap County Association of Realtors. They served together on the county Citizens Budget Committee. Both believe charter government may be in the county’s future. Both believe county government must prioritize its services, but their paths diverge on what those priorities should be.

SILVERDALE – As it turns out, voters aren’t sick of it. Voters in the 23rd Legislative district sent a clear message to Sherry Appleton (D-Poulsbo) on Tuesday night: Her work is not yet done. Appleton, the incumbent, pulled in 63 percent of the votes to defeat Republican challenger Larry Cooney in the general election. Those results were as of 8:15 p.m.
