Kingston running back Lou Hecker, pictured here, powers through the Chimacum offense during the Kingston High School Buccaneers’ first ever varsity football home game Sept. 5. The Bucs cinched their first-ever win, trouncing the Cowboys 13-8. The new scoreboard, purchased with funds raised by the KHS Athletic Boosters through sponsorships, was dedicated before the game. The Bucs take on Sequim High School for this year’s Homecoming game at 7 p.m. Oct. 10 at the North Kitsap District Stadium in Poulsbo. The Homecoming dance is at 8 p.m. Oct. 11 in the KHS gym.
